Spanish and Padi scuba diving course (Course N)

Spanish and PADI scuba diving course

The Spanish element of this course is exactly the same as Course A, with two grammar classes and two conversation classes daily.  You will have Spanish classes in the morning and diving classes in the afternoons.  The diving course includes both theory and practice, and leads to the internationally-recognised PADI qualification (for this you need a minimum of two weeks).  The dive centre is a short bus ride away, near the city centre, and is fully equipped for the PADI course requirements. Classes are available at all levels, from total beginners to experienced divers (qualifications available include the PADI Open Water, Rescue Diver, Divemaster).  Children’s dive courses are available.  On the first day, you will be accompanied to the dive centre, introduced to the coach, and instructed on how to get there independently for the rest of the classes.  The course is available all year round, but be warned that in winter (June, July, August) the water can be very cold.  Diving equipment and study materials are provided.

What can I expect to learn?

Beginners can expect to learn about the functions and use of diving equipment, how to breathe underwater using a regulator and how to dive using a buoyancy control device.  You will learn safety techniques and the basic signals used to communicate underwater.  You will be introduced to the plant and animal life you will encounter underwater.  Those with some experience will be able to improve their technique, learn new skills, or simply dive for fun.
