Meet Margo - Founder of La Herradura Spanish school

I'm Margo, the proud founder of La Herradura Spanish School. Together with my family, we started this project back in 1995 in a charming coastal town called "La Herradura" in Granada, Spain.

After our initial success, we decided to expand and open a new location in my husband’s beloved home country, Uruguay, which has also become our new home.

La Herradura isn't just a school—it’s a family-run business with a deep passion for sharing the beauty of the Spanish language with curious minds from around the world. Our mission goes beyond textbooks; we aim to immerse our students in the rich culture of Uruguay, making their learning experience not just educational, but truly unforgettable.

So, if you're ready to embrace the warmth of Uruguay while mastering Spanish, you’ve found your perfect spot at La Herradura!

Here’s a bit about our journey:

  • Our Beginnings:
In 1995, my family and I started La Herradura in the picturesque coastal town of "La Herradura" in Granada, Spain. It was a beautiful beginning to what we hoped would be a lifelong journey of sharing the Spanish language.

  • Expanding Horizons:
Following our success in Spain, we decided to broaden our horizons and establish a new location in Uruguay, my husband’s home country, which has also become our new home.

  • Our Mission:
La Herradura is more than just a place to learn Spanish. It’s a family-run project driven by a genuine passion for the language and the culture of Uruguay. Our aim is to offer an experience that goes beyond traditional classroom learning.

  • What We Offer:
We strive to immerse our students in the local culture, making their time with us both enriching and memorable. Our goal is to create an experience where language learning and cultural exploration go hand in hand.

If you're curious about exploring Spanish and experiencing Uruguay in a meaningful way, we’d love to share that journey with you.
