Guidance: Our dedicated staff will be here to support you throughout your internship, ensuring you feel confident and prepared in your role.
Instruction and Support: The school will provide you with detailed instructions and guidance on how to reach your workplace, as well as answer any questions you may have about the area and your tasks.
Certification: Upon successfully completing your Spanish course and volunteer project, you will receive a certificate recognizing your efforts and achievements.
Please keep in mind that volunteering may involve working with limited resources in some neighborhoods, for some volunteering options a good level of physical fitness is important. We appreciate your willingness to contribute to the community in this meaningful way.

Volunteer Program Requirements
To participate in our volunteer program, please ensure you meet the following requirements:
Spanish Course: Completion of a mandatory 4-week intensive Spanish course at our school in Montevideo or Punta del Este is required.
Spanish Language Proficiency: An intermediate level of Spanish is necessary to effectively communicate and engage with the community you will be serving. This proficiency enhances your ability to understand tasks, collaborate with local teams, and build meaningful relationships.
If you already possess the required level of Spanish, you can begin your volunteering while simultaneously attending two weeks of mandatory Spanish classes.
Experience: Relevant experience is necessary for most volunteer opportunities.
Application Details: We kindly ask that you include a CV with your application. While a motivation letter is not mandatory, it is appreciated as it helps us match you with the most suitable volunteer work for your skills and passions. Additionally, please note that we will conduct a 30-minute video call to get to know the candidate better.
Spanish Course
Preparation: Participate in daily group classes at our school in Montevideo or Punta del Este as intensive preparation for your volunteer project.
Course Levels: Available at all levels, from beginner to advanced.
Duration: The course typically lasts a minimum of three weeks. You can also extend the Spanish course if desired.
Uruguay Volunteer Programs Overview
Start After Your Course: After completing your intensive Spanish course, you will begin your volunteer project with a minimum commitment of four weeks.
Skills and Experience: Previous experience or relevant skills (e.g., medical training, computer skills, teaching, social work, administration, or working with children and vulnerable adults) will be considered.
Project Availability: Not all projects accept volunteers year-round due to different factors. Your preferences, skills, and experience will help us determine the best fit for you.
